Chicken Tikka

Ingredients for 4:

900 gr. chicken breast, skinned and cubed

2 tsp. ginger paste

1 tbsp garlic

1 tsp. turmeric

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. chili powder

Optional: 1 tsp. Tikka Seekh Kabab (can be bought in Asian supermarkets

3 dl plain yoghurt

Juice from one lemon

Fresh coriander

 

1. Mix everything and leave in a bowl to marinate for a few hours.

2. Soak the skewers in water for 30 min.

3. Thread the chicken cubes onto skewers and cook either in the oven for app. 20 min. on 220 C. or on a babercue. If you use the babercue, it will not take long to cook, just make sure that the chicken is not pink inside.

4. Serve with chopped fresh coriander, a salad and maybe home made nan.
